The Forum was held from 22 to 24 January in St. Petersburg. Main topics of discussion on the Forum were: development tools convention and exhibition activities, event marketing and incentive tourism, regional marketing and regulatory exhibition activity. Forum brought together leading experts not only from Russia but also from the United States, France, the Netherlands, China, South Korea and other countries.

The main purpose of the participation of the representatives of Murmansk was the speech titled as "The development of the brand of Murmansk". Recall that at the end of 2013 the city completed the development of image symbolism. However, before starting of the implementation of measures aimed at creating a unique style of the city, it was required to pass the procedure of expert evaluation.

Chairperson of the Committee on Economic Development of Murmansk city Administration Irina Kanash made a presentation about Murmansk. In her speech the competitive advantages of Murmansk were marked. These points might interest the meeting industry professionals and investors, they are: the city's potential as a strategic point of the Russian North, ice-free port, center of fishing industry of the Barents region, beginning the Northern Sea Route, a major transport hub of Barents region, center of the business activity of the Kola region. The speaker did not leave behind our unique natural phenomena: polar nights, polar days, "Polar kitchen" and Murmansk citizens themselves regarded for their fortitude, ability to live in difficult conditions of life.

Let's hope that the participation of the representatives of Murmansk in the event of such level will establish strong contacts with partners in industry and event marketing in general.
