The Murmansk region took seventh place in the rating of tourist attractiveness of Russian regions in 2024. The study, conducted based on an analysis of data from 85 regions of the country, included a comprehensive assessment of tourist flow, the level of infrastructure development and the quality of tourism services provided.

The results of the rating confirm the high potential of the Murmansk Region, which is steadily strengthening its position among the most significant tourist destinations in the country. The region is among the leaders of the Northwestern Federal District, second only to St. Petersburg in terms of tourist attractiveness.

The success is also due to the significant development of tourism infrastructure: in 2023, the growth of collective accommodation facilities in the region amounted to 20.1%, which allowed the region to enter the top five leaders in this indicator at the federal level.

The region has demonstrated impressive success in the development of the tourism industry, which is confirmed by the record number of visitors in 2023 - 670 thousand people. The region offers a variety of tourism opportunities and high quality services, paying special attention to the promotion of local gastronomy, the principles of sustainable development and active digital communication.
