SPIEF-2025: thanks to cooperation between the regional government and NOVATEK, a multi-stream center for the diagnosis of oncological diseases will open in Murmansk
Today, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an additional agreement was concluded between the regional government and PAO NOVATEK. It expands the framework of the long-term agreement for 2020-2029, signed in 2020, and provides for significant support from the company.
The additional agreement provides for the provision of financial assistance for the major repairs of municipal non-residential buildings, financing the Russian Robotics Olympiad, developing grant programs for teachers and students, purchasing advanced medical equipment and transport for healthcare institutions, equipping the dormitory of the Murmansk Industrial College and the Governor's Lyceum, which will open its doors to students in September of this year.
"The additional agreement on socio-economic partnership with NOVATEK is focused on two most important areas of life for our northerners - healthcare and education. The first point of the plan involves equipping the multi-flow center for oncological diagnostics, which is being opened on the basis of the P.A. Bayandin Regional Clinical Hospital, with medical equipment. Another significant point is equipping the educational base of the Governor's Lyceum with modern technology to ensure a high-quality educational process. I am confident that this significant contribution to the development of our young northerners will bear fruit; they will certainly glorify our region and the Russian Arctic with their achievements and discoveries. The additional agreement will not only allow us to solve a number of important social problems, but will also ensure the training of highly qualified specialists, including for PAO NOVATEK, thereby guaranteeing a successful future for our region." I would like to note that the implementation of measures in the field of healthcare and education are priority areas of our strategic plan "Live in the North!", - the head of the region emphasized.
The long-term cooperation agreement with PJSC NOVATEK covers a wide range of areas, including healthcare, education, development of social and medical infrastructure, as well as support for mass sports, culture and art, confirming the comprehensive approach to the development of the Murmansk Region and the strategic importance of partnership between the state and business.
