The Murmansk Region Government, Murmansk Arctic University and Antey Sever signed a trilateral agreement to create a world-class campus
Today, Murmansk Region Governor Andrey Chibis signed a trilateral agreement with the Murmansk Arctic University and the Antey Sever company. The alliance of education, business and government will become a driver of technological development of higher education in the Murmansk Region.
"The agreement is related to the development of the Murmansk Arctic University and the creation of a new world-class campus. The Antey company is already participating in the Professionalism program, thanks to which laboratories are already functioning in the secondary nautical school, our task is to take another step to improve the quality of higher education in the region," said Andrey Chibis.
Antey Sever CEO Sergey Balyabo noted that despite the difficult economic conditions, the business is ready to support projects aimed at creating a modern educational environment.
"We will invest in science, education and the younger generation. Our children must be creative, capable of generating new ideas for the development of production and the economy of the region and the Arctic zone of Russia," the head of the company emphasized.
According to Acting Rector of the Murmansk Arctic University Maria Knyazeva, the creation of the campus has already begun. Its first facility will be the Coastal Training and Simulator Center, which will be fully commissioned next year. And in 2025, its first part will open - the Training Complex for the Fight for Ship Damage with an Autonomy Module.
"When creating the campus concept, we knew that the main value is not the walls, but the content. Antey Sever is a strategic partner for us, which helps ensure the connection of educational programs with the real needs of the Arctic industry," said Maria Knyazeva.
Thanks to the trilateral agreement, the university will be able to strengthen the practice-oriented training of specialists in key areas: "Northern Sea Route" and "Arctic Bioresources and Biotechnology".
The federal project for the construction of a world-class Campus in Murmansk (MAU Campus) is being implemented within the framework of the national project "Youth and Children".
