Festival ROST

The ROST festival is an annual project of the Murmansk Region Urban Development Center. Since 2021, it has been turning Murmansk into a venue for contemporary public art. The grand opening of the anniversary festival in 2025 will take place on August 3 at 4:00 PM at the Container Hall (22 Generalova St.).

Guests will enjoy a rich program — from exhibitions to master classes and a DJ set. Immediately after the opening, at 4:10 PM, there will be a tour of the Cyrillic: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow exhibition, which is a partnership with the major international Stenograffia festival. At 4:30 PM, a DJ program from Egor Erokhin will begin, and master classes will be held in parallel: Pavel Savchuk will teach everyone how to paint with balloons using stencils (10+), and a Dance Campus teacher will conduct a street dance class (12+). Participation in all events is free.

The public art festival is returning to Murmansk in 2025 — on a new scale, with new locations, formats and participants. This year the festival will be held in the central part of the city. More than 13 artists and art groups from different regions of Russia will create new works, shaping the artistic landscape of Murmansk.

The ROST festival is being implemented as part of the regional development plan “Living in the North!” It will take place in August, but the preliminary program with master classes and excursions has already begun in July. All the necessary information about the event can traditionally be obtained at the office based in Container Hall, on  the festival website  and on the VKontakte social network.

The organizer is the ANO Center for Urban Development of the Murmansk Region with the support of the Government of the Murmansk Region and the Andrey Melnichenko Charitable Foundation.

Let us recall that during the four previous festivals, the masters decorated the facades of more than 56 residential buildings and technical buildings.
