Within the framework of the federal project "Business Sprint (I choose sports)", the regional project "Development of sports infrastructure of the Murmansk region" on the territory of the MAU "GSC "Avangard" the construction of a new quickly erected sports and recreation complex has begun at the address ul. Admirala Flota Lobova, 51.

The location was not chosen by chance, it will allow to create a multidisciplinary sports cluster that will promote the development of physical culture, as well as strengthening the health of Murmansk residents of all ages.

The sports and recreation complex will consist of an administrative and household module (coaches, utility rooms), a module of locker rooms and a module of a universal sports hall for mini-football, basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, martial arts and other sports. An important factor is the area of the sports and recreation complex being built. According to Sergey Tyan, Director of the MAU GSC Avangard, the dimensions of the sports hall are 36 by 18 meters, which will be able to host sports competitions of various levels all year round.

The work is being carried out according to schedule, and it is planned to complete the construction by the end of 2025.

The sports and recreation center will become part of the network of city facilities managed by the Municipal Autonomous Institution "GSC "Avangard", which was reorganized this spring - the Municipal Autonomous Institution "Center for Organizational and Methodological Support of Physical Culture and Sports "Strategy" joined the institution. As the director of the institution Sergey Tyan notes, the changes were beneficial:

— Theory and practice have all come together: now we provide methodological support and all the facilities where Murmansk residents do sports. Now we provide the entire range of municipal services for the health of our residents. The employees of "Strategy" have not lost anything, they have only acquired, for example, improved working conditions, assistance from the legal department of the MAU "GSC "Avangard".
