The Murmansk Region Export Support Center informs exporters about the possibility of insuring short-term accounts receivable. The service is provided by JSC EXIAR — the Russian agency for insurance of export credits and investments, which is a specialized state institution for export support (Russian Export Center Group).

The product allows Russian manufacturers and distributors engaged in export activities to insure the risks of non-payment from foreign buyers.

Insurance coverage extends to risks of a commercial (the buyer does not want to fulfill his obligations or does not have sufficient funds to do so) and political (the buyer is unable to fulfill his obligations due to government restrictions) nature.

The insurance contract covers up to 90% of the amount of unfulfilled obligations of a foreign buyer and allows the exporter to secure its foreign trade activities, expand the volume and geography of deliveries, and fulfill its obligation to repatriate foreign exchange earnings.

The object of insurance is the entire portfolio of export contracts of the insurer with deferred payment.

The insurer is the supplier, manufacturer of goods, works or services. The beneficiary may be the bank providing financing to the insurer.

The insurance contract is concluded for 1 year.

Necessary conditions for receiving the service:

1. goods (services, works, results of intellectual activity) of Russian production are exported;

2. regular deliveries on terms of deferred payment for up to 1 year;

3. on the date of signing the insurance contract there are no overdue accounts receivable from insured customers.

The insurance premium rate depends on the risk level of the project.

The level of risk for a project depends on a set of factors characterizing the counterparty and the project as a whole. Many of these factors include, in particular, the financial condition of the counterparty, its characteristics, the presence of a history of cooperation, the state of the industry and the country, as well as data that are specific to a particular project.
