A delegation from the Murmansk region took part in the XI St. Petersburg International Forum of United Cultures
The 11th International United Cultures Forum was held in St. Petersburg. This year's forum's theme was "Returning to Culture – New Opportunities."
Representatives of culture, art, business, and government participated in the business program. Russian Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova and Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova addressed the participants with welcoming remarks. Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the plenary session, emphasizing the importance of intercultural dialogue, preserving national values, and being open to new opportunities.
The Murmansk Region delegation was led by the region's Minister of Culture, Olga Obukhova. She spoke in the theater arts section as part of the discussion "Tours and Festivals: Meanings, Achievements, and Plans." The Minister also participated in a session devoted to educational work and synchronizing federal and regional cultural agendas, as well as the integration of youth and veterans of special military operations into the cultural environment.
The forum noted that the Murmansk Region was among the top 15 regions in Russia for its cultural outreach. Olga Obukhova, head of the relevant department, received a letter of thanks from the Russian Minister of Culture.
"The 11th International Forum of United Cultures has become an important platform for exchanging experiences and discussing key development areas in the industry. It is crucial for us that the Murmansk Region is among the regions actively participating in shaping the national cultural agenda," emphasized Olga Obukhova, Minister of Culture of the Murmansk Region.
Furthermore, the Belomorye and Zabava ensembles represented the Kola Arctic as part of the "Silver Necklace" festival program. Northerners Tatyana Ishkaraeva (patchwork), Natalya Shilova (batik, wool felting), and Natalya Musayeva (fabric painting) presented their work at the "Masters' Fair."
