As part of the signed memorandum of intent to establish sister city relations between Murmansk and Lianyungang (PRC), a videoconference was held dedicated to establishing trade ties with the People's Republic of China.

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Natalia Poluyanova, Deputy Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region; Andrei Kostin, Deputy Head of Murmansk; Wu Gangyu, Deputy Mayor of the Lianyungang City People's Government; Zhao Wei, Head of the Liaison and Cooperation Department of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in St. Petersburg; Song Jin, Deputy Director of the Lianyungang City Commerce Department; Anastasia Tyutina, General Director of ANO "Business 51"; and Tatyana Ruskova, President of the Union "Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Murmansk Region" (Severnaya).

Representatives of the business community from both sides participated in the online meeting. Residents of Murmansk learned about the operations of Zhujiang Steel Pipe, NEWNEW SHIPPING, Jiangsu Jindoyuan (Magic Cloud) Supply Chain Management Company, and Jiangsu Fresh Seafood Supply Chain Management Company. The Russian side presented the work of Barentsmoreproduct, a seafood processing company, Vkus Severa, a Kola Peninsula wild food processing company, and Lovozersky Mining and Processing Plant LLC.
