Murmansk Region Minister of Tourism and Entrepreneurship Marta Govor is participating in a business mission representing the Moscow tourism industry in New Delhi, India. The Murmansk Region is participating in the "Moscow+" interregional travel concept as part of the joint project "Journey to the Russian Miracle." This project aims to promote unique interregional routes in the domestic and global tourism markets.

The day before, Minister Govor participated in a series of B2B negotiations and presented the Murmansk Region's tourism potential to Indian tour operators engaged in outbound tourism. Particular attention was paid to the unique regional tour "Heart of the Arctic," designed for Chinese and Indian travelers. Late last year, the tour was ranked among the best in the country under the "Discover Your Russia" International Inbound Tourism Development Program of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI).

"Indian tour operators are very impressed – both by our unique natural environment and the activities we offer. It's especially gratifying to note that many of those I spoke with today have already visited our region or sent their guests to us. They all speak of our region, its natural beauty, and our tour operators with great respect and admiration. Our tour's slogan, 'There's a place for the Arctic in every heart,' is once again confirmed," noted Marta Govor, Minister of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of the Murmansk Region.

"'Moscow+' is a concept for interregional travel that combines a trip to Moscow with visits to other regions of Russia. In our concept, the capital serves as a 'window to Russia'; when guests arrive in Moscow, they experience the energy of a large city, a vibrant cultural, eventful, and business scene. The Murmansk Region offers a completely different Russia – with its amazing nature, the chance to see the Northern Lights, unique lifestyle, and northern cuisine. Thanks to projects like these, foreign tourists can experience the diverse travel options in Russia in just one trip. "We see growing interest in interregional routes, and we continue to work on this area, offering our international partners ideas for exciting travel experiences across Russia," commented Anna Nefedova, Head of the Regional Cooperation Directorate of the Moscow Tourism and Hospitality Development Project Office.

Today, as part of the business mission, on-site meetings are planned at the offices of leading Indian tourism companies. This will allow us to strengthen partnerships and discuss the details of cooperation in promoting tourist routes.

The business mission delegation includes employees of the Moscow City Tourism Committee, representatives of Moscow tour operators, accommodation and tourist attractions, and representatives of a major airline.
