Leader in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation

Between 2019 and 2025, fixed capital investment in the Murmansk Region amounted to nearly 1.8 trillion rubles. Governor Andrei Chibis announced this during his report at the United Russia Party Supporters Forum in Murmansk on April 18.

"The Murmansk Region remains the leader in investment and the number of residents in the Arctic zone. Currently, there are 311 residents of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation, and seven residents within the first Advanced Development Area (ADT) created in the Arctic Zone, "Capital of the Arctic." Actual investment totaled approximately 300 billion rubles, and residents have created over 5,000 jobs," the governor noted.
Investment activity covers a wide range of sectors, including tourism, services, construction, logistics, and other priority areas of the Kola Arctic economy.
The Murmansk Region continues to expand its investment potential thanks to the effective implementation of preferential regimes and support for strategically important projects. The region remains attractive to investors, offering a wide range of opportunities for business development in the Arctic.

"The economy is the foundation of people's lives, the basis of social investment, and given the strategic nature of our region, developing this sector is our primary goal. Thanks to the proactive stance of labor collectives and companies, and the support of President Vladimir Putin, the Murmansk Region is developing and confidently moving forward, despite sanctions pressure," the regional governor emphasized.
