A delegation of Russian trade representatives abroad is working in Murmansk. The two-day visit began with a meeting at the Murmansk Regional Government. Deputy Governor and Minister of Arctic Development and Economy of the Murmansk Region Svetlana Panfilova addressed the audience with a welcoming address.

She presented the investment potential of the Kola Arctic, noting the region's logistical advantages and the role of companies operating there in the country's fishing industry. Today, the Murmansk Region accounts for 55% of the aquatic bioresource catch in the Northern Basin: every eleventh ton of fish in Russia is caught by Murmansk companies.

During the discussion, the parties discussed issues related to developing the region's export potential, focusing on the work of the Export Support Center and opportunities to promote Murmansk companies' products in foreign markets.
As a reminder, the Murmansk Region Export Support Center provides a wide range of support measures as part of the national project "International Cooperation and Export."

Alexey Sapetko, Russia's Trade Representative in the Republic of Korea, discussed the specifics of the Korean market, specifically its differences from the Chinese market, the importance of regular marketing support, and competition with CIS producers. He also noted the interest of Korean partners in Russian salmon.

The visit continued with a meeting between trade representatives and fish exporters from the Murmansk Region. Tatyana Russkova, President of the Union of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Murmansk Region (Northern) also participated in the dialogue.

The dialogue featured companies supplying sea urchin, crab, and various types of fish to foreign markets.
Business representatives discussed their established crab exports to China, including live crab—which is particularly popular with Chinese consumers—as well as their close cooperation with China on cod and haddock exports.

Following the meeting, trade representatives provided exporters with practical recommendations on logistics and product promotion. The parties exchanged contacts to continue their joint efforts to expand the presence of polar products in international markets.

The visit program continued with a visit to enterprises in the Murmansk region.
