At a strategic session on the development of the Arctic zone of Russia, Andrei Chibis presented a number of initiatives aimed at the accelerated socio-economic development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation
On October 22, 2024, during a strategic session on the development of the Arctic zone of Russia, which was held in Moscow under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Governor Andrei Chibis put forward a number of initiatives aimed at accelerating the socio-economic development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation.
As the head of the region noted, financing master plan objects within the framework of national projects is a priority, it is also important to provide additional federal financing for energy-efficient capital repair programs. In the context of the new geopolitical reality, it is necessary to update strategic documents on the development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation until 2050 and synchronize them with other regulatory legal acts.
In addition, the issue of providing medical care in the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation remains one of the key issues. According to the governor, it is necessary to form the most effective healthcare model in the Arctic - the standard of "Arctic medicine".
"A lot of preparatory work has been done. The initiatives proposed today to the Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin were formed as part of the work of the State Council Commission "Northern Sea Route and the Arctic". “We will then work out the details of the proposals together with our colleagues from federal government bodies,” concluded Andrei Chibis.
