The Murmansk branch of JSC Citymatic received a comprehensive environmental permit. This event confirms that the work of the enterprise – Ecotechnopark in Mezhdurechye, Murmansk Region – complies with high environmental safety standards.

Thus, the company complied with the requirements of federal legislation, according to which objects of the first category of environmental impact are required to obtain a permit before January 1, 2025.

A comprehensive environmental permit is a complex document that includes various aspects of environmental policy and control. The branch has successfully passed the inspection for compliance with all necessary criteria established by the Federal Law "On Environmental Protection". Obtaining a permit requires regular monitoring and reporting, which guarantees compliance with strict environmental protection regulations and standards. The permit will allow the branch to process and dispose of solid municipal waste for seven years in full compliance with current legislation.

The largest infrastructure project in the Arctic zone of Russia in the field of municipal solid waste management was launched in the Murmansk region in 2019. The region created a solid municipal waste landfill in Mezhdurechye with a capacity of 250 thousand tons of waste per year, a waste sorting complex with a capacity of 180 thousand tons of solid municipal waste per year, and waste transfer stations in the closed administrative-territorial entity of Aleksandrovsk and the closed administrative-territorial entity of Severomorsk. The total investment of JSC Citymatic in the creation of infrastructure amounted to more than 1.8 billion rubles.

All waste received by Ecotechnopark is sorted. The share of what is subject to burial corresponds to the target indicators of the national project "Ecology". Useful fractions, that is, secondary resources, allocated as a result of sorting, are sent for processing to other regions of the country.
