The western shore of the Kola Bay and Murmansk will be connected by a water pipeline approximately 17 km long
First Deputy Minister of Energy and Housing and Public Utilities of the Murmansk Region Alena Kuznetsova checked the progress of the reconstruction of the water supply networks of the Western Bank, which is being implemented within the framework of the “Living in the North” plan.
Today, the third and final stage of the project is in the active phase. The Murmanskvodokanal utility workers are completing drilling operations, and in the near future, the construction of a water pipeline under Veresovaya Bay will begin, which will allow water to be supplied to the Western Bank. A pumping station is being built in the Drovyanoye area to ensure the standard pressure.
The total length of the pipeline in all three stages (from Minkino to the Drovyanoye region and further to Murmansk) will be approximately 17 km.
Let us recall that the goal of the project to reconstruct the water supply networks located on the Western shore of the Kola Bay is to provide the Abram-Mys and Drovyanoe, Minkino and Mishukovo microdistricts with clean and high-quality water.
