Murmansk Region took part in the first BRICS tourism forum
The Murmansk region was represented at the first BRICS tourism forum in Moscow, which was attended by delegations from all nine member countries of the union: Russia, Brazil, Egypt, India, Iran, China, the United Arab Emirates, Ethiopia and South Africa.
Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Murmansk Region Alexander Eliseev took part in the business session “Synergy of Cities and the Tourism Industry as a Driver of Their Development”.
Also on the sidelines of the tourism forum, an agreement on cooperation in implementing joint projects was signed between the Moscow City Tourism Committee and the Murmansk Region Tourism Committee. The subject of the agreement is the implementation of joint projects aimed at promoting the tourism resources and tourism potential of the Murmansk Region and the city of Moscow in the domestic and global tourism markets. The first such project is "Moscow + Murmansk Region. Journey to the Russian Miracle."
"Today, it is important not only to unite under a brand, but also to form programs that are understandable and in demand by tourists, and behavior scenarios in the regions. Together with Moscow, we have formed programs for exporting services in the "Moscow +" format for foreign markets. Today, it is important to sell products, not regions. "Journey to the Russian Miracle" is just one example of such products. Guests will receive a variety of voluminous impressions, starting their acquaintance with Russia from the capital of our Motherland, and ending in the Arctic. And it is very important to collect these products on a single tourism portal, to digitize the entire chain of services, which we are actively doing now. Include programs in the product lines of leading tour operators, which has been successfully done," said Alexander Eliseev, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Murmansk Region.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation jointly with the Moscow City Tourism Committee and is aimed at strengthening industry ties between government agencies and business circles of the BRICS member countries.
