SPIEF-2024: The Government of the Murmansk Region and PAO NOVATEK signed an agreement to support social and cultural facilities in the Murmansk Region
On June 6, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, an additional agreement was concluded between the government of the Murmansk region and PAO NOVATEK, under which the company will provide support in the reconstruction and equipping of socially important facilities in the region.
Thus, assistance will be provided in the reconstruction of the Rodina cinema building, the acquisition of equipment for the new surgical building of the oncology dispensary, and the repair and acquisition of machine tools and equipment for the Murmansk Industrial College.
"I sincerely thank you for the projects you are doing in the Murmansk region, for the additional support you provide. The new agreement is equipment for the oncology dispensary, which is currently in the active construction stage; continued investment in the industrial college, modernized last summer; and, of course, equipment and modernization of the Rodina cinema building in the center of Murmansk, where we plan to open the Digital Arts Center," said Governor Andrei Chibis.
Let us recall that on the premises of the former Rodina cinema, it is planned to open the first Digital Art Center in Russia, Muza, where young northerners will receive additional education in several areas: programming, an artificial intelligence laboratory, AR/VR development – augmented reality, directing, jewelry art, and others.
"We will train engineering personnel, who are needed, among other things, for those large projects that NOVATEK will implement in the Murmansk region. As well as personnel for the creative economy," Andrey Chibis emphasized.
Chairman of the Management Board of PJSC NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson thanked for the joint work, noting that the support will continue.

A long-term cooperation agreement for 2020-2029 with PJSC NOVATEK was concluded in 2020. It concerns many aspects of the lives of northerners - healthcare, education, development of social and medical infrastructure, as well as support for mass sports, culture and art.
