"I would like to thank our partners who are actively cooperating with us in the joint training of qualified personnel. NOVATEK, PhosAgro, Norilsk Nickel, EuroChem, Rosatom, Antey, SZFK and everyone who has joined in the work that is necessary for all of us. The importance of this task was also noted by the President of Russia in his address to the Federal Assembly. On the instructions of Vladimir Vladimirovich, we are all working on the creation of a new national project "Personnel", in the discussion of which we are also actively involved on behalf of the region," Governor Andrei Chibis noted at the beginning of the meeting.
Kola NPP as a potential employer is interested in implementing the "Professionality" project in the territory of the municipal formation Polyarnye Zori. Participation in the program will help the enterprise in solving personnel issues for a number of blue-collar jobs.
"Kola NPP, which celebrated its 50th anniversary last year, has clear plans to work and provide electricity to the Murmansk region for another 100 years. Therefore, training qualified and motivated personnel is one of our main priorities. And for this, we entered the federal project "Professionality", investing 35 million rubles in it. We also intend to develop cooperation with our MAU, and, in accordance with the strategy of the State Corporation Rosatom, to become the best enterprise in the region in revealing human potential. The guaranteed employment of 85% of college graduates from 2027 is an investment in the future of the region's energy sector and our contribution to the implementation of the "Live in the North" plan, said Evgeny Nikora, Advisor to the Director of the Kola Nuclear Power Plant Branch of Rosenergoatom Concern JSC and Deputy Chairman of the Murmansk Regional Duma.
In August 2023, as part of the Professionalism project, the Kola Mining and Metallurgical Educational and Production Center was created at the Monchegorsk Polytechnic College with the support of Kola MMC to train students in in-demand professions. The company also helps repair and equip laboratories at the Monchegorsk Polytechnic College and the Pechenga Polytechnic College.
"Norilsk Nickel is one of the main employers in the region. It is extremely interested in qualified personnel and helps to train them locally. It is very important that graduates of our educational institutions remain in the region, get jobs and find new opportunities for themselves. I am confident that thanks to the implementation of the agreement signed in September 2023 with the regional government and the Professionalism program, educational institutions of Monchegorsk and the Pechenga District will be able to significantly improve their material and technical base, and at the same time increase their attractiveness to students," said Maxim Ivanov, Deputy General Director of Kola MMC for Regional Policy and Corporate Projects - Department Director, Deputy of the Murmansk Regional Duma.
Since 2013, PhosAgro has been successfully implementing the "School - College/University - Enterprise" educational paradigm, which is aimed at attracting young people and training the engineering elite. The PhosAgro School program is implemented in 6 schools in 4 regions where the company operates, including two schools in the Murmansk Region: Kirovsk (School No. 5) and Apatity (School No. 15). Within the framework of the PhosAgro College and PhosAgro University projects, comprehensive cooperation programs "Personnel for PhosAgro" have been concluded with the Golovanov Apatity Polytechnic College and the Murmansk Arctic University branches in Kirovsk and Apatity. 80% of graduates of the MAU branch in Kirovsk are employed at the KF AO Apatit and its subsidiaries. The college has 5 training workshops and 28 specialized laboratories for students. The branch holds joint professional skills competitions for students and employees of the enterprise: "Best Mechanic-Repairman", "Best Electrician" and "Best Flotator".
"The Kirov branch of JSC Apatit is interested in supporting students during and after employment, in creating optimal conditions for practical training of young people, in developing and improving the skills of current employees, in internships for teachers of professional educational organizations at the company's facilities. Thus, PhosAgro and the Kirov branch of JSC Apatit create the necessary conditions for attracting young people, their professional, personal, spiritual development and career advancement," said Roman Dolgorukov, Director of the HR Department of the Kirov branch of JSC Apatit.
Kovdorsky GOK is the second largest producer of apatite concentrate in Russia by production volume, a major producer of iron ore concentrate and the only producer of baddeleyite concentrate in the world. The quota for targeted training of the enterprise, taking into account the Professionalism program, is currently 150 people. In 2016, Kovdorsky Polytechnic College received a license to carry out educational activities, which included one of the Kovdorsky GOK facilities - a pilot plant. Students undergo practical training under the guidance of experienced mentors. Today, their number is 300 people. It will be doubled.
In 2022, it was decided that Kovdorsky GOK will be included in the Professionalism program. The professional cluster includes 4 educational institutions: Kovdorsky Polytechnic College, Apatity Polytechnic College, Monchegorsk Polytechnic College, Monchegorsk Mining and Industrial College. Eight educational programs have been jointly developed.
"Our company has social support measures for students. The salary during practical training at the company's production sites is not lower than the average established in the Murmansk region. A room in the hostel of the Kovdor Polytechnic College is provided. The subsidy for meals in the buffets and canteens of the company is 150 rubles per day. Every year we participate in the All-Russian campaign "Week without Turnstiles". This year, the coverage of students and schoolchildren was quite large in the Murmansk region," Dina Zhukova, head of the training center of the Kovdor Mining and Processing Plant.
Antey Sever LLC is not only one of the main employers for future sailors and fishermen, but also an industrial partner of the I. I. Mesyatsev Maritime Marine Complex. In 2024, 35 million rubles were allocated for the development of the material and technical base of the college within the framework of the Professionalism program. Over three years, the quota for targeted training from the company will amount to 622 contracts.
"Considering the plans and expansion dynamics of the Antey Group of Companies, there is a great need for new personnel. An important step in this work is joining the federal project "Professionality". We are already thinking about attracting qualified employees. We need to talk about maritime specialties and instill interest in them when children are just thinking about choosing a future profession. We want the work of a sailor to become prestigious again. We want schoolchildren to make a conscious choice in favor of a maritime profession," said Ivan Tretyakov, Deputy General Director of Antey-Sever.
At the end of the meeting, Governor Andrei Chibis thanked the industrial partners:
"Joint work ensures results for the Murmansk Region in terms of attracting, retaining and self-realizing young people who were born here or came to live and work. There can be no development of production without specialists. This also has a very important social effect. The President of the Russian Federation has repeatedly stated the task in which partners must invest in social development, so the topic of training and career guidance of personnel is fundamentally important," the head of the region concluded.
