The Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation positively assessed the results of the work of the Murmansk Region within the framework of the Strategy for Spatial Development of the Russian Federation, including the implementation of the Murmansk Transport Hub project.

In addition to the development of road and transport infrastructure, the "Strategy" includes issues of attracting additional investments and increasing the number of jobs in the regions. As Andrey Chibis noted , in the Murmansk region, special attention is paid to the support of investment projects.

Currently, the projects of the Integrated Development of the MTU, the construction of the coal handling complex "Sea Trade Port "Lavna" and railways are being actively implemented. Also, two preferential regimes are in effect in the region - the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation and the Priority Development Area "Capital of the Arctic", within the framework of which more than 214 billion rubles have already been invested and about 5 thousand jobs have been created.
