The Competition Policy Committee of the Murmansk Region summed up the results of the rating of local government bodies of municipalities of the Murmansk Region in terms of activities to promote competition and ensure conditions for a favorable investment climate based on the results of 2023.

This rating is formed annually in accordance with the Standard for the Development of Competition in the Subjects of the Russian Federation, approved by the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation dated 17.04.2019 No. 768-r.

The purpose of the rating is to assess the effectiveness of measures to promote the development of competition and ensure conditions for a favorable investment climate in the territory of municipal districts, urban (municipal) districts, and closed administrative-territorial entities of the Murmansk region.

The main objectives of the rating are to identify local government bodies of municipalities of the Murmansk region that provide the greatest contribution to the development of competition in the region, the introduction of advanced municipal practices to improve the competitive environment in municipalities of the Murmansk region, as well as the motivation of local government bodies to improve the efficiency of activities to promote the development of competition.

The city of Murmansk and the Kovdorsky municipal district received the highest number of points (156.5) according to the rating results among urban districts of the Murmansk region.

Municipal districts, urban (municipal) districts and closed administrative-territorial entities of the Murmansk region were ranked separately in connection with the specifics of their powers.
